A Collage Project

Okay, maybe it is not really a collage as much as a bunch of scrapbook and cardstock paper laid out and taped to fit in a 12x12 frame.

My favorite.
I like this frame. It's an easy change frame where the glass pops out. (It's more stable than it appears.) That means you can create what ever design you want, insert a real collage, or your child's artwork! The bigger, wider, or longer the frame means more that can be done with it. The simplicity of the frame (black plastic) means that it will go with almost anything. Nobody will notice the tiny edging of plastic because they'll be looking at what ever it is you put inside it.

I also like that all three of my designs fits in side between the glass and the backing. I wouldn't do more than 5 pieces though.

Anyway, layout your papers, pictures, ticket stubs, programs, etc beforehand to make certain that it will fit neatly. Tape it down where the tape does not show. Maybe a thin layer of mod podge or puzzle glue, something that won't cause the paper to curl or warp. Let dry if needed. Insert in frame for something that you can easily change later.

Least Favorite. It didn't turn out how I envisioned.
Who ever said that scrapbook pages have to be used only in scrapbooks, kid's artwork has to be hung only on the fridge, and that cheap frames cannot be more than cheap-looking? It's been done for plastic crates, plastic storage drawers, and those plywood bookcases from Walmart.
