Well, it's been a while.  A long while.  Don't look at me that way.  I'll catch up.  I've just been...busy...making things, geocaching, substitute teaching. Some things I can talk about, some I can't.  Here's the first: Geocaching.

What do I say about it?  It's awesome.  Go to geocaching.com to find out more.  Seriously.  Why are you reading this?  Everything past this point is old stuff.  Go. Go.

Making Paper Roses

If you've been following my instagram and FB pages (ABookwormCreates for both - links on main page) you'll notice I'm going book page craft crazy. I mean besides the book page pendants that are a staple in the ABookwormCreates etsy shop. Currently punching out confetti (perfect for the remains of the pages punched out for pendants) (found in BookwormQuotes etsy shop) and creating paper roses (not yet listed anywhere) are my current addictions. See.  Aren't they pretty.  The colored ones are printer paper sprayed with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain. Unexpected Discoveries - Homemade Things from Fruit

This weekend I went to a birthday party for a two year old.  His mother, one of my oldest friends - Shelia - has a little bit of a creative thumb.  Now, if you are handy with a knife you might want to take note.  The Theme: Luau Item #1 This might look like an ordinary pineapple...but you know I wouldn't be blogging about it if it was only an ordinary pineapple.  That's because inside this pineapple is a jar of dip.  It's simple.  Get a pineapple.  Cut off part of the pineapple leaving the leaves and about an inch, an inch and a half of pineapple.  And remove the insides.  Don't be wasteful.  Use the pineapple.  It's really good raw or grilled or in a fruit salad. In the Land of Cupcakes, part 1

Sometimes my Beta eaters hate to hear that I'm experimenting again.  Why?  Why would you hate to know that your lovely, wonderful, amazing, and talented friend is experimenting in baking again?  After all, it means free cupcakes!  Alas, that is the problem, free cupcakes during swimsuit season.  At least I suspect that is how Jackie and Megan feel.  So I tend to limit myself to an experiment every two weeks and I have enough Beta eaters to spread things around so that everybody, except Bobby, gets one or two of the current experiment.  Experiment #5 (I think, I'm not certain) was Oreo cupcakes. Aren't they beautiful? (Sorry for the fuzzy spot on the upper left corner of the picture, the protective glass covering the camera on my phone is cracked, clumsy me.)
